The Rift
Quick job in Terragen and Photoshop. Rendered a little larger than I usually do - 3200x2400 instead of 2800x2100 - so I think quality improved somewhat. The name comes from the focus at the center, where the sun seems to be permeating through clouds and forcing them away. This piece had minimal postwork aside from the border and some sharpening, all the colors and such were in Terragen. Midwinter vacation is coming up in about a week, expect some more new stuff then. =)

I would say that your atmosphere greatly approved in this render. The blue does give a feeling on the black terrain and the rays fix perfectly in here.

I really love the landscape and the atmosphere. The rays caught my attention first, being so bold. The sun was next, seeping through the clouds and the sexy atmosphere. ;)

I don't like the water as much since the reflections aren't really corresponding to the sky.

Anyhow, excellent work! :+fav:

the coast looks too sharp, with hard angles.
nice use of the colors. the blue give to this piece a cold mood, lonlynes.

First thing i thought was, Mmmmmm Terragen... LoL, agreed, a few things could be fixed, there's that piece on the left that just looks odd and too sharp to me, but otherwise, it's very pretty. :)
